I just had surgery, how long should I wait before getting a Lymphatic? You can begin MLD treatments in as little as 3 days post op, however, some clients choose to wait until they can drive themselves to their appointment.
-
How many Lymphatic Drainage sessions will it take to feel relief?Because every body is different, there is no clear cut answer. Most of our patients feel relief immediately where as others may not feel relief for 2-3 sessions.
-
How often do I need to come in for treatments?Post surgically, the ideal treatment is daily for the first week, followed by every other day for the second week until swelling is significantly decreased and does not return between sessions.
-
What are some of the side effects of lymphatic drainage? While there are no adverse side effects know with MLD, some clients report an increase in urination due to fluid drainage.
-
Is the regular lymphatic drainage the same as lymphatic drainage post-op?Same concept, different knowledge. The lymphatic drainage post-op is complemented with other techniques and therapies to achieve maximum results. Having just the regular lymphatic drainage will be like doing only half of the treatment.
-
Can I work out after a lymphatic drainage session?Absolutely! But I would emphasize that you should drink twice as much water after receiving MLD to encourage rehydration and lymph flow, especially for your heart. If you feel fatigue post-session (as your system may have been overloaded with toxins), you should refrain, as the lymphatic load may be too much.

What is Cavitation and how does it work?Cavitation is a technology that allows, thanks to low frequency ultrasonic waves, to produce microscopic bubbles in the water or interstitial fluid that surrounds the fat cells. This agitated water (as happens when we shake a bottle of champagne or champagne), causes the implosion or rupture of the cell membranes of the adipocytes or fat cells without altering the adjacent structures, respecting the integrity of the blood, lymphatic and nervous system. Cavitation is a non-invasive technique (without surgery) to shape the body. Reduces body volume, eliminating cellulite and localized fat deposits in the abdomen, hips, thighs, knees, arms, calves and back. It achieves highly satisfactory results from the first sessions of treatment, as long as the patient follows the instructions and protocols designed for each particular case. The results can become permanent. The fat goes from solid to liquid. These released fats will be metabolized and eliminated naturally by the human body through the lymphatic system, venous and finally filtered by the kidney and liver. To give greater precision to the treatment and to favor the desired result, cavitation will be complemented with the lymphatic drainage treatment.
-
What benefits will I get with the cavitation treatment?Loss of localized volume. Dissolution of fat mass. Reaffirmation of the tissue, thanks to the contraction effect of the collagen molecules, we will achieve a smoother and firmer skin.
-
What does the patient feel while the cavitation is being performed? With cavitation you feel a tingling and a slight buzzing in the ears. It is not an uncomfortable or painful treatment.
-
How many sessions will I need?It depends on each patient, areas to be treated and the follow-up of the treatment.
-
Are there any contraindications for the cavitation? There are contraindications for using cavitation devices for treatment of localized fat.Ultrasonic Cavitation is not for people with heart disease, kidney failure, or liver failure. It is not for those who are pregnant, and you must wait a minimum of three months after childbirth, or at least six months after C section. Getting GP approval is recommended post childbirth if you would like to try Ultrasonic Cavitation.
-
Is the cavitation procedure safe?Yes! Ultrasonic Cavitation is FDA approved.
